Tiny Haul

I was bored after school so me and my roommate went for a little shopping spree.

First of all we went into one of my favourite drugstores - dm market. It's an German store. I needed to get some face cream. I've been using Nivea but I my face was alwas very greasy after it. I search for something else. Then I found this Balea Soft Creme. It says it doesn't leave greasy skin so I'll give it a try.

When we were there I found cute fizzing bath salts and I had to get it! They're tiny fishes and I love them.

I wanted to get more color into my nails since it's sommer so I got this pinky-red nail polish from Miss Sporty.

Balea also has an amazing lip balms and I lost mine, so I picked up one aswell. It hydrates really good.

Then we visited Pepco - one of my favourite stores with clothes and home stuff. I bought the most beautiful candle in the world. It's white and covered in tiny roses. I also bought another one which smells nice. It's a Fresh Cotton. I'm addicted to candles.

The next things I didn't buy on our spree but they came that day. I ordered them from Avon. I love shower gels and lotions from them. These two are Pink Daisy & Sicilian Lemon. Smell amazing.

I love hairmasks, so I ordered one form Avon. It's Acai Berry & Shea Oil. Again amazing smell. I hope it will be good for my hair.

None of these products are very expensive and I'm happy about it.

Of course when shopping I had to buy a book - if I didn't then that wouldn't be me. This book caught my eye at the bookstore. It's called Solitaire by Alice Oseman. Before I got it home I managed to scratch it a little. I'm so angry on myself about that.

We also visited Tesco where I found this delicious thing. It's white chocolate with cereal and it's soooo tasty.

And that's all from me today. Have a good day!

March Books 2016

This month I read more books than last month, so I'm very proud of me! I love my friends, they are the best source of books for me. I'm so happy I can borrow whatever I want from them.

Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins

I absolutely loved this book. So sad it's the end of the trilogy, but what can I do. Atleast I got to know the end of Anna & Éttiene's and Lola & Criket's love stories. I'm really happy about it. If you have ever thought about reading this, go for it!

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

Again, absolutely brilliant. Read it in about two days, just couldn't put it down. I have never seen a book where is mentioned fanfiction and stuff. I really enjoy reading fanfiction and this made me happy. Nice little love story from the university. I could relate to Cath's first feelings about having total stranger for a roommate, since I went throught this last year.

Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas

I was excited to read this, but I didn't know what to expect. I was nicely surprised by a strong heroin. That made me happy and have more faith in myself. This was something different than other books.

50 Shades of Freed by E. L. James

I read 50 Shades of Grey just from curiosity to see what everyone loved so much about it. I didn't love it as much but it wasn't completely boring. Whole trilogy was interesting in its own way. Even if a book was totally terrible I still have to read it since I'm interested in what happens. But I read better books than this.

Give a change to some of these books and let me know what you think or what to read!

February Books 2016

I was really busy last week, so there's what I read in February with a little delay.

I would not choose these two books by myself, but my mum's friend borrowed me them and I'm glad she did. Both of them were very easy to read.

Chasing Fire by Nora Roberts

This book really surprised me. You could say it's a detective story. It is an inspiring book. I read it with one breath. Book about friendship, revenge, relationship, hard work and firefighters.

River Rising by Dorothy Garlock

I love stories from the past, even if this is just the beginning of 19th century. This book is part of a series, but it's not important to read the three before. It's about young girl moving to town, where she meets all the people here and finds her true love.

January Books 2016

In January I didn't have a lot of time to read because of the end of first term in school. So I was able to read only two books.

Interview with the Vampire by Anna Rice

I heard about this book because of the film, which I've never saw. I wanted to read the book first. Then I saw it in the bookstore and I had to have it. Even if I left it laying on my shelf for months, in the end I'm happy I finally read it. I can understand why people love this story. I enjoyed reading it and it's probably the best vampire story I've ever heard of.

Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins

Amazing book! This is the second part of Anna and the French Kiss, but you don't have to read the first part. It was recommended and lended to me by my friend and I'm happy she did it. I fell in love with Anna and was more than excited to read this book. It's great story even if you can predict a little bit what's gonna happen. Also both Anna and Étienne appear in this book as side characters which I love!

Caramel Cupcakes

These are the easiest and really delicious cupcakes for caramel lovers! You need just few ingredients and a little of free time - it should take you just about an hour. Every time I make them, they disappear really fast.

Ingredients:
250 g flour
90 g sugar
2 teaspoons of baking soda
pinch of salt
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
2 eggs
200 ml milk (or cream - it's better)
85 g unsalted butter
caramel fudge

Whisk the eggs and the sugar until fluffy. Melt the butter - in this stage, you can add a few pieces of caramel fudge in the. This gives caramel flavour to the batter. Mix with the eggs and add the remaining ingredients. Mix until smooth. Chop the caramel fudge and add to the mixture. With a scooper split the mixture into cupcake tin. Bake at 180°C for about 20 minutes. And you're done! Yummy!

Good luck with baking and enjoy!

Christmas Book Haul

It may look like my parents spent fortune on these books, but there's this amazing bookshop, where you can get very cheap books. It's even called like that - Cheap books. If you spend there enough time, you can find treasures. Unfortunately, I'm running out of shelves to put them on. Since I am from Czech Republic, all the covers and names on the photos are in Czech, so don't get confused.

13 BULLETS - David Wellington

Somehow I fell in love with books about vampires and this one caught my eye. Well, not just books about vampires, but basically everything. It's the first part of a book series called Laura Caxton. I hope it will be great and that I find the next parts soon.

GOODBYE FOR NOW - Laurie Frankel

I bought this one few years ago, but it got lost in my Grandma's wardrobe. After I read the description, I needed to get it. It looks very interesting. Communicating with dead people? I'm here for it! I can't wait to read it.

INDIANA TELLER: SPRING MOON - Sophie Audouin-Mamikonian

As much as I love stories about vampires, I also love werewolves. Well, okay, I admit - I love every supernatural creature. I picked it because I think I never saw a story just about werewolves. They were always only a part of vampire story or one werewolf in Harry Potter - not complaining, I love Harry Potter. Then I found out that this book was written by princess, which made me even more excited.

UNTIL I SAY GOODBYE - Bret Witter, Susan Spencer-Wendel

I'm very interested in stories about mental disorders or just normal illnesses. I like getting information about them, how people deal with them and how it is to live with someone, who has it, or having it themselves. And this book is perfect for it. I have never found a book about this kind of topic until now. I'm very happy I got a hold of one.

CINDER: THE LUNAR CHRONICLES - Marissa Meyer

A dystopian book - what do you want more? I could read those all the time - Hunger Games, Divergent, Delirium and now this. I really hope it will be good. There cyborgs and colony on moon... Sounds great to me!

NARCOPOLIS Jeet Thayil

As much as I love stories about illnesses, I love stories about drugs and drug addiction. Just like book about Mr. Nice by Howard Marks and Savages by Don Winslow. People say that is both good and bad. I need to get my own opinion on this.

THE LITTLE PRINCE - Antoine de Saint-Exupery

I need to read this book for school, so I decided why not to buy it? I know a lot about it and I basically know the story, but I still want to read it. It looks very interesting and lot of people love it.

LET IT SNOW - John Green, Maureen Johnson, Lauren Myracle

New book from John Green? I must have it! I love John Green, I have every single one of his books, that was translated in Czech. And I will be happy when I get to know new writers - M. Johnson and L. Myracle. I also love the cover - it's sparkly!

I really hope I will enjoy all of them!
